Poul M. Volther - Corona Chair and Stool - 1964
By Poul Volther.
First produced in 1964 by Danish Designer Poul Volther, the Corona chair was originally crafted from solid oak.
This reproduction features a stainless steel frame with a high polish finish as well as top grain Italian leather. After experimentation with various materials, the 'EJ 605' was released a year later, which closely resembled its predessor but was crafted of steel. A true original, the Corona chair was completely unique in design, using (seemingly suspended) concentric shapes to make up its form, yet sacraficing nothing in the way of function and comfort.
Dimensions: Chair: 79 x 86 x 93 cm (W x D x H)
Ottoman: 54 x 40 x 35 (W x D x H)
